Quality of Life: Leisure
The Miami County Ohio area has an abundance of things to do for everyone. Whether you would like to explore The Great Miami River Recreational Trail or take a canoe ride down the river instead. Just take a day to take in all the beautiful sights Miami County has to offer. You’ll be amazed by what you might find walking down any of the recreational trails there are. If you are history buff you might be interested in the historical areas along the trails. The options of recreational activities are endless, especially when you have a trail that connects Troy, Tipp City, and Piqua together!
Aside from the many recreational activities we have, there are many festivals and other attractions that will catch your eye. Plan a night of ice skating at Hobart Arena, or plan to watch a concert there throughout the year. A must though, is to stop at the Troy Strawberry Festival, the first full weekend in June, where there is strawberries galore!
Lastly, there are several unique shops and restaurants throughout the Miami County. Many downtown restaurants and shops are locally owned throughout each community. Not only do we have these small businesses but we also have the ‘Big Box’ stores like Kohl’s and Walmart. If you’re out and about throughout the day exploring the sights of Miami County, stop and grab a bite at any of the several restaurants. From Mojo’s, Harrison’s, or Beppo Uno, take a chance on local dining.
